Volkswagen EVs and hybrids still need routine checks even though they do not have a traditional engine oil schedule in the same way as gas or diesel vehicles. Focus on brake condition (including corrosion from light brake use), tire wear, suspension checks, and keeping cooling systems for power electronics in good shape where fitted. Follow the vehicle-specific schedule for any reduction gear oil, coolant, and cabin filter work, and take warning messages seriously because they can relate to high-voltage system monitoring. If your VW is a plug-in hybrid, it may have both engine and EV service items, so confirm the plan by powertrain.
